Bandarulanka sarees, woven in a small village that goes by the same name in“Konaseema” District, are renowned for their earthy hues and 80’s count fine combed cotton yarn. The sarees are defined by Dobby, Pattu borders and Zari /Cottonbutas. Contrast Colours are often used for the saree pallu and the body for a contemporary look, albeit weavers are also partial to the traditional mono tone sarees.
